The Future of the democrat Party

I don’t see the big deal.

Thursday night, Keith Olbermann had an interview with Alvin Greene, the man who won the democratic nomination to run for the Senate in South Carolina. Here’s a link to the video (link). Watch it. You won’t be sorry.

He seemed disconnected from reality, took most of his answers from an off-screen prompter, and was entirely unimpressive. You really have to watch the video to understand the scale of what I’m talking about. The man seems (as Rahm Emanuel would say) cognitively challenged.

So why are the democrats calling him a ‘plant’? Why do they assume that it’s some kind of Conservative election tampering, just because the SC democratic party hasn’t ever heard of this guy, and he’s unemployed, and been charged with a felony for obscenity, and still managed to pay a filing fee of over $10,000, in cash? Is it because South Carolina has an ‘open primary’ system, where Republicans can vote in the democrat primary? Is it because this guy didn’t have any yard signs, any rallies, any interviews, not even a website, and still beat the establishment candidate that had all of those things by twenty points?

He just seems like a normal, run-of-the-mill democrat to me. It’s no wonder he won the democrat primary.
