Motion to Recommit Fails

Where all the magic happens. It took less than five minutes of voting (of a fifteen minute vote) for the Motion to Recommit to fail. The final count was 232 to 199, but the ‘yea’ vote count reached the needed 216 in under five minutes. That was the last real hope of the Republicans to scuttle this travesty. HR

As I understand it, President Obama can now just sign this HR 3590 and America will have to live with the Senate version of Obamacare. If the House can pass the fixes included in HR 4872, and the Senate also passes these changes, then at least we can make the best of things by removing the special deals for certain states. Deals like the Cornhusker Kickback, the Louisiana Purchase, the Gator-aid, and I’ve just been told about a new one called the Cleveland Steamer. I’ll have to google that one.
